Stratonautica provides operational and logistics support of scientific, educational and commercial launches to the stratosphere, also known as the edge of space. We use our own proprietary stratospheric complex to launch customer missions.
Stratonautica was founded in 2011 on the basis of the aerospace laboratory 'Near Space' in collaboration with Kefir.
Our lab has since carried out over 130 successful launch and payload recovery campaigns, reaching altitudes of up to 40 km. Our company became a Skolkovo Innovation Center resident in 2019. Skolkovo is a leading innovative high-tech business supporter in Russia.
Denis Efremov is the company founder and CEO. He has over 20 years of experience working in the aerospace industry.

Stratonautica uses a number of its own proprietary stratospheric technologies, including, but not limited to, several types of innovative payload platforms, long-range radio communications, the balloon gas filling system, the mobile mission control, the telemetry data collection, transmission and visualization system, etc.
We constantly hone and improve our near-space tech!
Our team has performed a number of scientific research missions to the stratosphere commissioned by our partner institutions. The lab team is constantly improving the automatic payload platform return system. We are working on the High Start system, where a rocket launches from a stratospheric platform to overcome the balloon altitude ceiling. On top of that, we are currently developing a stratospheric complex for tourist missions to the edge of space!
